Any esport that uses a mouse Is that true? Hand size?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Smaller hand means smaller mouse. Smaller mouse means lighter weight and more precision.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

hand eye coordination, dexterity, flexibility, upper body strength, the ability to writhe ones body without nerve pain.... sorry listing what one needs to do those.... except esports...but i consider those mental sports not exactly sport sports. theyre sports yeah, sports for people without athletic skill and/or the body health to do it

by Anonymous 1 year ago

So the list above have a couple central themes. Sports where low center of gravity is an advantage and there's no active struggle against another person or low center of gravity is an advantage and there's a weight class. Or in the case of Esports smaller limbs/appendages providing an advantage.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

my center of gravity is so low it's probably swinging on my ovaries.... as for small limbs... prety my chest and rear negate that. Im useless for sports in a competitive environment. Im good at some video games but im not winning anything much less placing on ranked lists...... I can write fiction and have excellent imagery.... i can cook... suppose that is something important cooking imean

Heavy on the wrestling. The shorter you are the harder you are to grab.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

Triathlons, body building, gymnastics(every guy is actually about 5 7 or shorter), distance running(most runners are 5 7) and Soccer.

Cricket. Well, for a batsman anyway. Not so much a fast bowler.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Good athletes who are too small to be successful in sports like basketball, baseball, football, and hockey will generally move into sports where height isn't an issue. Success in these sports doesn't mean that these short athletes are better, it is a sign that they had fewer options.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Scientifically speaking they are better.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

No one deserves to be bullied, that's not an unpopular opinion at all. Also do you have a source for the "efficient athlete" claim, because that sounds like absolute BS to me.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Look it up. All those I just typed in their average height is 5' 7" most of the mr Olympia where 5 7

by Winifred82 1 year ago

You don't get to pick and choose which sports this applies to. Show me the source where it says that the optimal athletic height is slightly under average height like you initially said.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I can indeed pick and choose. You're not my brain. 😂😂😂. I'll share since you can't research.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

No you can't. You can't generalize a couple sports where being under average height is optimal as universally true for ALL sports. That's objectively incorrect.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This article proves my point entirely.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Even then. You're not looking at the difficulty of those sports. Which makes your argument invalid. I'll give you a hint though I am an athlete and I have a degree in health science. So my job is to research. I can give you more references if you'd like.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

If you have a degree in health science and you're an athlete, why aren't you considering the data from non-Olympic sports? Wouldn't that be critical data for your research question? I'm not saying you're bad at your job, but you haven't shown me that you're good at your job yet.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I didn't say all. So you're starting and creating a argument with yourself.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

Yes you did, you said that shorter people are better athletes, and are only basing it off of a select set of sports where that so happens to be the case. It is literally in your title. Your argument is garbage.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Looks like about almost half the Olympic sports there are around that height. When you characterize the hardest sports and put them together that's what you get. Here I'll share more

by Winifred82 1 year ago

Olympic sports being the key word. If you were to add data from other non-Olympic sports, the data would be altered significantly.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Lmaooooooo. Duh. Cause they aren't the elites. I'm talking about elite athletes!! These are the best of the best! And they're not some 6 feet giants.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

Elite athletes are considered to be Olympic athletes. Almost all sports that enter the Olympics you're an elite athlete

by Winifred82 1 year ago

These highly efficient athletes are under average on the height scale. It just doesn't make sense. What about swimming, basketball, track, and volleyball? You can't just pick and choose sports to support your uneducated claim.

by EmergencyUse9947 1 year ago

Triathlon is by far the hardest sport you can do and they are on average 5 7 at least. Track especially distance runners are on average 5 7. It isn't a uneducated claim. It's straight facts. All you gotta do is Google and type in ncbi. It's all there.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

This is why OP's argument sucks donkey balls.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Sounds like you are the type to bully short people. But no it's not just for me. It's for all. Cheers mate.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

You are wrong in your assumption

by jemmerich 1 year ago

I mean you're bullying right now.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

I agree short people should not be bullied, but professional athletes tes are more likely to be above average height. It's a benefit in basketball, football, track, volleyball, most of them Tbh

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Track and especially distance runners and triathlons they're shorter. Which are some of the hardest sports. Even gymnastics. Height should be a factor but it infact isn't

by Winifred82 1 year ago

Look up Usain Bolt height

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm gonna need you to look up what a distance runner is. He's not a distance runner. He's a sprinter.

by Winifred82 1 year ago

I assume youre a man, when you feel short at 5'7. and I cant find anything that says the average male olympian height is that. Rather it seems to be 5'11. This is across all the Olympic disciplines ofc

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Do you mean just about their height? I mean they could be really bad people in general who deserve it. But def not just for their height.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The global average male height is 5' 7". Some countries are taller some are smaller. Making out that it's short to be that height is just patently wrong. As for better athletes, some disciplines are better for short people depending on how you calculate it. Weightlifting if measured on a per kg body weight to weight lifted, but raw amount lifted will always prefer taller people as they have more skeleton for muscle to attach to.

by johnsoncarlo 1 year ago

Not the sports that you make the most money playing

by hyattnaomie 1 year ago

Depends entirely on the sport and the position, height is a huge advantage in many sports and positions. LeBron wouldn't be LeBron if he was 5'9 , no matter how good his shooting and ball handling was. Same thing for Tom Brady. But obviously no one deserves to be bullied, especially for things out of their control.

I agree. I hate seeing wee fellas being bullied
