If the snitch is worth 150 points, why does anybody bother with the quaffle, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because it can make all the difference. At the Quidditch world cup, Viktor Krum caught the snitch, but Ireland won anyway.

Plus no one wants to watch one person fly around looking for a ball for 2 hours.

You don't necessarily win to catch the snitch, it's the overall points at then end of all the match seasons that count.

TOOFER FTW

Because then Harry Potter would not be a special quidditch player.

16 scores with the quaffle > Catching the snitch

I think their point is why doesnt everyone go after the snitch, and then give it to harry?

because the points you earn in the quidditch game go towards the house cup. and if you need more than 150 points to get ahead, than you want to get as many points as possible. plus, it takes a while for the seeker to find the snitch too, so during that time you cant just *hover* around, or the other team will keep scoring the quaffle. duh.
