It's annoying when people say "love is evil spelled backwards" because, well, it's not, amirite?

... love = evol It's pronounced the same way anyway. I know what you mean, though.

Really? Where, can I ask? In a somewhat published form (IE, stickers or notes) or handwritten? It just seems silly to me that a lot people would say something that could easily be disproven on the spot by simply looking at the letters.

Not published form, but in facebook statuses, quotes, etc. It's silly to me too, but I have seen people put exactly this: "love is evil spelled backwards", and from several different people.

"Money is the root of all evil" was the original; but "[Blank] is the root of all evil" is common. I hadn't known about the Eminem song, so I was stretching to think of what "Love is evil backwards" could mean.

There is a club in cape town, south africa that is called Evol, pronounced Evil. The stamp that you get when you enter is a huge LOVE (evol spelled backwards)
