Seems as if you just don't like beer.

As a child our taste is bad, as an adult our taste is still bad but we drink to forget

Nope. I gag on double IPAs and sours.

Sours are for the bro's that can't make wine or ciders. F them to the moon and back *gag*

i have 2 of the coolest brewpubs within walking distance of me right now. one is heavy in to IPAs; the other does almost nothing but sours. One has live music all the time, good bands, i go there and drink water. the other one has a huge outdoor firepit and sweet beer garden, i only go there because they provide stuff to make smores...i also drink the water. if either of them had just a single pedestrian passable lager that didn't smell like bong water or peel my eyes back into my head, i'd probably spend a lot of time there. i almost want to sneak my own beer in.

I hated beer when I was younger but at some point my tastebuds must have changed because I love the taste of beer. (Not all kinds of course, there's plenty of nasty beers out there)

I tried drinking beer from a bird bath. Very fowl tasting.

Because most people that casually drink beer can easily obtain food. Therefore if the food is bad they just get something different. Getting more beer is a more involved process and plus it gets you drunk: - So it's akin to people wanting to be inhebriated, so they'll deal with a lesser taste. - Akin to a starving man won't be as picky when he's hungry. _Yes it is a "want vs need" comparison, but unfortunately in a materialistic society that is an accurate comparison_
