+29 Hagrid should have stayed in Azkaban much longer and shouldn't be allowed in hogwarts or close to kids, amirite?

Hagrid may have made mistakes, but he was wrongly imprisoned, and Azkaban isn't exactly a place you want anyone to stay longer than necessary, especially when they're innocent.

Maybe we can all now accept that these were cool books for kids written by a lady with a great imagination but who isn't actually that great of a writer. Try reading her non Harry Potter stuff, yikes Remember when she had to pretend she didn't introduce time travel in the third book cause it would have snapped her story in half?

Because it's a kid's book. Have you never watched Tom and Jerry or read Roald Dahl?

I know and...? I'm not saying the books is bad because of it I just said Hagrid's acitivities are standard for the universe.

Oh I know, it's very bad criticism but it gets attention and yes it's grating. I was just trying to address OP's point on it's own terms.

I mean, those are all a day in the life for wizards. But god forbid he open his secret chamber pot for a quick piss

Ok I'll tell author to rewrite the story

I mean, you'd hope the wizarding world would have more than one prison. Or is it the magic Guantanamo or nothing?

I am going to write 'THIS WAS A KID'S BOOK' on a foam bat and start beating people over the head with it. Maybe then it will goddamned stick.

I barely remember the movies but this seems accurate. He basically gets a pass because he's kind of dopey and weepy and doesn't mean to cause trouble right? After a certain point you're still just being a menace.
