But that's not to say you don't make a valid point. I know loads of people like this. They justify awful spending habits with their ego that tells them they're above all of it so it doesn't really matter, and come out with something dismissive like "it's a good investment" because at surface level at least people will take that answer.

I don't consider myself an arrogant man. I give a buck to the needy often. I did get into crypto, but I didn't lose money.
