The film was campy fun. The show was puberty drama. You're right and it's not even close. Besides, anything with Rutger Hauer in it gets bonus points too.

I like the movie but the tv show has multiple good seasons so you get a lot more out of characters and story so if you want to compare the two the tv show is superior
