True. Quite a disgusting tradition. Still, people have idolized her to an extent where she became an untouchable angelic being incapable of doing wrong. I think she did amazing things, utilizing her position to make the world a better place. She was also a whiny spoiled brat, and ignoring that just makes her a flat character, not a whole person with flaws. An amazing person, but with flaws nontheless.

Not talking about that, she was an absolute saint in her charity/awareness work. She was however a whiny entitled brat who married into the royal family and somehow expected it to not be the royal family and to get zero attention for it.

The only royal who used her voice to advocate for the voiceless. She's far from whiny entitled brat. She was humbled and used her title to better the world. I remember seeing the image of her touching a person with HIV. This showed the world that you can't contract HIV through touching. At the time, it was ground-breaking. She was too good for the evil royal family. This is truly unpopular opinion.

Plus, the royal protocol for next in line, I believe, is marrying a virgin, and young enough to bring his children into the world etc etc. Big age difference for the times back then.

She bitched about her anorexia being the result of royal induced angst. But she had been purging long before the marriage. She bitched about the media attention but used it at every opportunity when it benefitted her. (Meghan is Diana 2.0. BTW) Yes a whiny entitled brat. Kate is the exact opposite of that.
