As an asian man, the stereotype of Asian women being the worst drivers are true. amirite?

I have one word for you, sir: Paris. Every Frenchman I've ever known has been fully aware of their reputation as terrifying drivers, and has been proud of this.

Have you driven with other races? This seems stupid because you've driven with your mom more than other women right? You have more evidence of her driving

I have. The worst ones are asian. I have close friends that are white, black, and Mexican. I've never encountered any problems. I always used to get ticked off about this stereotype, but its hard for me personally to dispute

Yeah but all of this is anecdotal. I'm friends and family with a lot of Asian women and most of them drive better and safer than me :/ that's also anecdotal too though. You need like full on data.

How many hours have you driven with your mother vs other people? The number of hours are important and if it's close I will shut up lol

According to DMVs, Asians have the least accidents per capita. Data say otherwise.

If that's true, that means Asian men are very impressive.

I feel you! I am an asian man as well and I am so terrified when my mother is behind the wheel. Ever since I bought my own car, I never ride with my mother anymore when she drives.

I have a theory. It will only be true for a few more decades. Basically, I assume there is a plurality of Asian Americans who are 1st, or second generation immigrants. The first Gens either never learned how to drive until their late 20's and probably didn't grow up even having a car. The sheer unfamiliarity with driving or even being in a car resulted in the stilted way they operate vehicles. These people then go on to teach the second generation how to drive with varying, but certainly not standard par American driver abilities. They are better drivers than their parents, but still -- off a little. 40 years in the 3rd Gen drives like the rest of us assholes but are falsely blamed for any supposed infraction or deviation from the "norm" because of said ethnic background. I base this on my Asian step children's standard driving over their mother's anxiety and seemingly incoherent vehicle operations. I taught them to drive, thankfully.
