Drinking alcohol to celebrate is weird, amirite?
by Anonymous2 hours ago
It's cause they're usually teenagers who have zero idea how the real world works.

I wouldn't say that's true. Plenty of people have just over indulged at one point or another. Doesn't mean they have a drinking problem. If they're doing it on a consistent basis then you have a point. Every college kid that's ever blacked out while at a party is a serious alcoholic? Seems like a gross overgeneralization.

This is incredibly out of touch.

Because they don't get invited to regular parties

I don't see why you would, but yes, you'd also be fine doing that.

I don't even mean blackout. I blacked out once by accident after a decade of drinking. I still had trouble remembering details of the night in those years. But I'll admit that most people I've seen drink get drunk. The "one glass with wine" people I know are older relatives.

Only a person who is against alcohol in all circumstances would describe having celebratory drinks the way you have.
