-40 Salsa belongs inside the quesadilla. Quesadillas are awful to dip, not made for dipping, and salsa doesn't belong outside of it, amirite?

Liquid in the dilla makes it mush/fall apart

by Ok_Education_9220 10 months ago

Nah you just don't put to much. A schmeer of salsa on a quesadilla tortilla before cooking is a big improvement. Also this guy was all drugged up at a music show at thinks he had the best quesadilla ever - he's living the dream honestly.

Extra floppy

by Different-Noise488 10 months ago

This guy dillas

by Anonymous 10 months ago

The cheese is melted and liquidy when hot.. salsa wouldn't be much different in consistency.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Cheese is soft but binding, I've never seen a salsa pull strings like queso.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Nah, they're VERY different. Cheese is fatty. Salsa is wet. Cheese getting melty doesn't negatively impact the structural integrity of a tortilla, whereas salsa does.

What.

You, sir or madam, are Quesadilla-ing incorrectly. Fold the 'triangles' like a piece of NY pizza and spoon the salsa and guac on for each bite.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

If you're comparing a proper quesadilla to NY-style pizza than you sir or ma'am quesadilla-ing incorrectly.

by nyasiahilpert 10 months ago

I see how that can work, but the tip of the quesadilla is sometimes floppy and will just not stay in the right shape when spooning the salsa.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

The tip is floppy? I think there's a pill for that

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Are you opening and putting in after its cooked? Ive never seen this

by ena82 10 months ago

I don't know how they did it, but only place Ive been to that does was a vendor at Camp Bisco, iirc they were called Steal Your Plate

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Was the salsa hot?

by ena82 10 months ago

Yeah see for me it's a temp thing. A quesadilla is hot but I don't want my salsa hot

by ena82 10 months ago

Never used a spoon before?

by Anonymous 10 months ago

How would I eat a quesadilla with a spoon?

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I think he meant to spoon the salsa on it instead of dipping

by Top_Tap 10 months ago

I think that would still have the problems of it sliding off, and running out of salsa too quickly

by Anonymous 10 months ago

That just means you need more salsa.

by Jadablanda 10 months ago

just.. put it in after?? just open it back up and put it in if thats your taste

by Anonymous 10 months ago

The cheese is all melted and liquidy sometimes acting as a seal for the quesadilla. The edge/just bitten part could be loose and falling out while the middle would have to be messily torn apart due to the cheese

by Anonymous 10 months ago

have you tried asking the restaurant you go to? i've special ordered things with little hassle!

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I could but I'm always nervous I'm asking for too much of them

by Anonymous 10 months ago

as someone who's made Quesada's, its not difficult! Just putting the salsa on the Quesada instead of on the side. plus, you are paying for things they possess, so its not like you're asking off menu. if you're still nervous you could always tip a little for the hassle

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Lol tipping for the hassle of 2 seconds of their time spooning some salsa from a container right in front of them onto a quesadilla right in front of them.

by laneyrogahn 10 months ago

How are quesadillas difficult to dip? Lol. Who wants a soggy, drippy, flaccid quesadilla that either has hot salsa in it or is like warm because the salsa brought the temperature down?

by Ready_Oven6730 10 months ago

The insides sometimes fall out when dipping

by Anonymous 10 months ago

If it's not crispy enough to be semi-rigid then you need to fold it like a slice of pizza and scoop.

by Ready_Oven6730 10 months ago

The thing is, because I cook a lot of Mexican food and it is smart to put some salsa in the quesadilla, you're still going to want to dip the quesadilla in the awesome quac you make. So just suck up that quesadilla aren't great for dipping - and when you cook at home crisp up that tortilla extra for a more disppable quesadilla. Camp Bisco is still a thing. I miss acid...

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Camp Bisco is still a thing. Idk I went 6 years ago

by Anonymous 10 months ago

They sell jars of salsa at the store that last for months? A quesadilla is the Latin version of a grilled cheese, it's certainly not "eating out" food in my eyes lol. It takes literally like 5 mins to make. Ingredients required: tortilla and cheese, everything else is optional. But idk I live in a Mexican household so all of the above is always available in my home and salsa never goes bad here 🤷🏽‍♀️

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Idk I was just guessing I haven't bought salsa in a long time. My husband has a bunch of other things he'd prefer to make. I don't cook much, I find it scary & overwhelming, and I don't have a lot of interest in food (if I could live on liquids only I would), I used to cook more and would make more quesadillas but since then I can't be trusted as much to, my "mental faculties" have been declining (as my husband words it, I don't have words for it because I just notice I'm slower & slower and it's scary).

by Anonymous 10 months ago

Also quesadillas are like the easiest food to make at home. Shredded cheese takes quite a while to go bad, same with a jar of salsa. "Eating out food" lmao, it's not sushi.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I'm no longer trusted all that much to cook really and my husband just has other foods he'd prefer making 🤷🏻‍♀️

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I usually just use a pizza slicer to make my quesadilla into three flat pieces and then use a knife to smear sour cream and a spoon to dollop pico de gallo. Works just fine.

by lilianemmerich 10 months ago

just spoon some salsa onto the tip of the quesadilla

by Anonymous 10 months ago

WTF? No.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I'd rather fresh pico and I don't want that heated up.

by Xdicki 10 months ago

A quesadilla is literally the single easiest and most convenient thing to make at home short of popping a frozen pizza into the oven.

by Anonymous 10 months ago

I have but also been regressing since Ive been slowing down, and as it's put "mental faculties declining".
