If you are sturggling to understand what is happeming during soccer you have other things to worry about.

I appreciate watching golf a lot more after I played it a little They just make it look so effortless that on the surface it seems pretty unimpressive if you've never tried it yourself That said if I'm watching golf I usually prefer just having it on in the background while I'm watching or doing something else

I agree on a few conditions: 1) If there are a minimum of 4 alligators on the courses, large enough to eat a human. 2) few steep hills that might give the UN-athletic golfer a heart attack. Or 3) frequent thunderstorms, and a chance of getting struck (Just think: you might in fact go out with a bang! ) Then, use the words "Interesting" and "golf" in the same sentence.

I understand, but at that point it's not really a sport no more. It's more like a chess board. Sport more or less relies on adrenaline and quick thinking. Also sports played at pro levels aren't recreational activities. You seem to like golf because of that.
