I haven't played it, I played the first though and it was fine, and it seems to me that the general consensus on the second is also that it's fine-pretty good. So I don't know how unpopular this is unless you're claiming that it's an absolute masterpiece pushing the bounds in every way which it certainly doesn't seem like

I enjoyed it. I think a lot of people did. There was some controversy about the looks of certain female characters if I recall correctly. It's a solid game though.
