+42 If you have to add butter to make it taste good then it sucks. amirite?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Fan of plain toast, eh? Fr this is in the same vein of "if you have to use any seasoning preparing the food, the food sucks"

by elinor57 1 week ago

Yea. What a useless opinion lol.

by Danyka81 1 week ago

Ok but you are already making your arguements blend. Is it that I can't use butter make things taste better? Or That I can't use butter to make things taste good? Those are 2 different arguments.

I made some mistakes because of the hard apple cider I've been enjoying tonight. I'm not a hateful person and probably shouldn't have started this crusade but I'm gonna devil's advocate my self and stand my ground despite mistakes made. Mashed potatoes and corn tend to suck without butter right? I have become the video of the raccoon watching cotton candy dissolve in water

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I can enjoy corn and potatoes without butter. But this brings up a larger question. If you have an issue with butter do you have an issue with condiments? Like a sandwich is dry without mayo.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I am so confused because butter is a main ingredient in mashed potatoes, at least for most people isnt it? Almost everything would suck if you omit any ingredient. I could literally make the same argument about salt. If you have to add salt to your food then your food sucks. Lmao what a dumb

by Danyka81 1 week ago

Mashed potato ingredients are potatoes....mashed...good luck enjoying them!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Oh dear. I feel so bad for people you cook for.

This is a strange hill to die on lmao.

We always die on our own hills. Tonight this is my hill. I'll probably lose the battle not gonna lie. But for a little while ima fight this and see how it goes. I'm like 90 year old Tyson fighting mecha-paul.

It's painfully obvious you don't cook or bake.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I bake all the time. Usually after I wake. Actually I usually smoke before sleep if I'm gonna smoke.

Butter is an ingredient, so it's sole purpose (unless you like to eat it) is to be added to things to make it taste better, how does that make the food bad? By that logic isn't any food bad if you have to use spices to make it taste better? Ofc not everything needs butter, but just because you add it doesn't mean the food is bad without it.

by Tasty-Room 1 week ago

Would you eat plain butter? The mixture is good

by Amazing_Bedroom_5803 1 week ago

Butter is fine on its own. A bit oily for my take but i find if you need it to make things better there's an issue. Mashed potatoes sans butter is kinda gross right? They suck without it.

You must hate restaurants…

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Nah just mashed potatoes without butter...and corn without butter..and corn bread without butter. And green beans and broccoli

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That's like saying "If you have to add seasoning to something it sucks" which isn't true. I think beef tastes perfectly fine on its own. Yes, butter makes everything better, but it doesn't mean it's bad on it's own, it's just worse compared.

Something tells me you're not around good cooks, and around too much butter.

by gaylordwerner 1 week ago

Butter is an ingredient though

by Farrellgilbert 1 week ago

"If you have to add flour to your bread it obviously sucks"

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You could say the same thing about salt too. Though you can roast corn on the cob with a small bit of olive oil and it's still tasty.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

A little mayo and some parmesan, a squeeze of lime. Sooo gooood!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't know if thats unpopular. Popcorn is the only thing that requires butter but no one's arguing it's a great food.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Clearly butter is good...but is good butter?

by Deep_Physics 1 week ago

The secret to restaurant fine dining is that each dish has about a whole stick of butter in it

by Anonymous 1 week ago

sometimes things, added together, are greater than the sum of their parts

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That's what your mom said to me last night. Bazinga

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Butter enhances taste. That doesn't make food "suck"

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Ok enjoy your bland potatoes.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Did you just learn what cooking is like Ratatouille or something

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I learned I don't want to eat rats from watching Alone.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Oh

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I know. They taste bad and take a long time to process. Tbh they'd probably be better with butter. Meaning they suck.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Oh you're still going

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You can also e enjoy your plain lobster, crab, pasta and so on. Fats (be it butter or oils) and seasonings are simply at the base of most cooking and baking.

by No-Abalone1486 1 week ago

Stuff you can add butter to is my favourite. Because butter is my favourite.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I dislike the taste of butter. I hate sandwich with it. It's just a matter of taste, but I simply can't stand it. For me, butter is only for cooking, and nothing else. Thus, your observation is something I can never confirm or refute.
