by Anonymous 1 week ago

I swear… i wouldnt touch him with a 39 and a half foot pole

by Upset_Care 1 week ago

Definitely an unpopular opinion lol

by Dionborer 1 week ago

That's amazing lmao

by Jolly-Hurry 1 week ago

"Oh no, my childhood is ruined because i realised Santa isn't real!" Not like they won't realise it after they're as young as 12 lmao

by Madysonprohaska 1 week ago

yeah but why not let them enjoy it while it lasts

by IcyTradition 1 week ago

Sure, let them enjoy it I'm just pointing it out the stupidity of going out of your way to keep it a secret if they're going to find out anyway

by Madysonprohaska 1 week ago

Because it's magical as a kid. Christmas has never been as good as it was before the age of 10, why would you not try to keep them happy as possible about Christmas?

by Alternative_Copy 1 week ago

Don't know, i realised it long before i was 10 and nothing really changed for me, don't see the reason

by Madysonprohaska 1 week ago

Then I suggest looking up the word 'empathy'.

by Alternative_Copy 1 week ago

So like buying a PS5 for a kid when they are struggling to pay rent. This is just financially irresponsibility. Getting rid of Christmas wouldn't solve this. It is just as easy to say No to your kid on Christmas (I'd argue easier, "Santa had to feed his elves" "Your wish list must not have gotten to Santa") as any other time of the year.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I didn't say get rid of Christmas. Just Santa.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

The context you're putting Santa in is making him Christmas.

by hoppegarth 1 week ago

Well nobody forces the people do to that. Their problem is not Christmas but that they are unable to manager their money.

by Heidenreichterr 1 week ago

I may not have kids but I've definitely been one, and the whole "Jimmy has this thing so Santa/Jimmys parents must love him more" is definitely still a thing.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

There were talking about spending thousands. Who does that, if they can't afford it? If you have to buy the love of your kids, there is something seriously wrong with your parenting, generally speaking.

by Heidenreichterr 1 week ago

Very insensitive. A lot of people have financial problems and you're saying they should manage their finances better. Disgusting

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Those people aren't managing their money right, coming from someone who grew up as "the poor kid" and was around someone that would just rack up their debt on multiple cards, or parenting properly. You should teach your children to be respectful and not selfish. I never compared my gifts to others because I understood that money and gifts aren't everything. I never disrespected my parents by throwing a fit over not getting a specific thing.

by Zboncakvivien 1 week ago

This guy is scrooge

by Upset_Care 1 week ago

I don't think sane parents put themselves into debt for Christmas presents.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

A parent's for life not just for Christmas.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Then what does it have to do with Christmas and cancelling it?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Sorry, typo. I meant presents

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's quite obvious that they meant presents

by Zboncakvivien 1 week ago

I know. I'm just trying to inject a bit of Christmas cheer!

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

People who mismanage money at Christmas mismanage money through January-November too

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Someone didn't get the pony they asked for.

by Infinite-Papaya 1 week ago

Oscar Meyers weenie whistle actually.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

People start buying Christmas presents in the summer.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Aren't you a little dramatic calling buying a gift and not telling the reciever lying? 😅

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't think you appreciate the lengths people go to. I work in a toy shop atm and yesterday a customer had 4 members of staff relaying where another customer and their child was just so the child who was in the class of the customers child didn't see the customer collect a bunch of presents for their own child that were to be "Santa Presents" in case they said anything in school. All a bit mad to me.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Bro the jig is up we know you are the Grinch in Disguise

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's not lying, it's pretending. There is a difference.

by Heidenreichterr 1 week ago

Burden? If my 5 year old boy cries I tell him I am going to take his picture and send it to Santa. He straightens up because he doesn't want Santa to know he is crying over absolutely nothing

by Damionboyer 1 week ago

The children love the wonder, that's what sets Christmas apart.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I do agree. The financial burden is bad. There's no need to spend money you don't have, regardless of what festival it is.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Totally expected the responses I'm getting but glad to see someone else with a sensible hat on. Wait is that sensible hat red, with white trim, and a bauble at the end? I'll be having that thank you. Proceeds to Grinch off Grinchily with a bag of seasonal swag-

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

People do Santa wrong imo. When we were kids stocking presents were from Santa (so small, inexpensive things) and all other gifts were from the people who bought them. So getting rid of Santa would maybe have saved my parents a tenner or so in today's money.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I hear it ten times a day. "No that's a Santa present" Referring to a £200 dolls house or £300 bike.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

You do realise this would be basically impossible, right? Kids would remember him for years, people would talk about him to kids they get, this is physically impossible.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Hey I'm just an ideas man. You want solutions speak to the elves!

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Santa isn't the reason people are in debt.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Santa just loved me more obviously! Signed - Jimmy with the PlayStation

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Jimmy ya bastard! I'll still be your friend though. Let me play spyro and tony hawks pro skater

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I can't stand Christmas, everything around it is a lie

by Loud_Location8229 1 week ago

This I don't mind as much. But i definitely think that's a deviation from the norm. At least where I am anyways.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

This is good.

by katlynnkunze 1 week ago

Santa is fine but people have gone a bit OTT on how much they make kids believe. It is beyond a nice myth, it is a full-on deception. Plus the quantity.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'm up for assassinating Santa

by Anonymous 1 week ago

wHOa wHOa wHOa no-one said kill. Let him retire on a nice beach somewhere. He can go out to the coast. Get together with the reindeer and have a few laughs!

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

I wanna cut him open and sleep inside

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Now you're just TaunTaunting me.

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

The ground is littered with slaindeer

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'd rather that bitch ass Elf-on-a-Shelf die.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Trickle down eggnogomics!

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Thr financial burden comes from social pressure, not santa.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Would that social pressure be as prevalent if kids didn't think that some magic slaves were making magic PlayStations out of magic thin air?

by kutchheloise 1 week ago

Average Santa denier:

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Thousands?? Is this an American thing? My parents have always gifted me something worth 50€ and when I got older (16-18) they increased it to 100€.
