I've never understood why pecan has its own pie and it's delicious, meanwhile peanuts, walnuts, cashews, pistachios don't work.

I don't think this is unpopular at all. I think what's keeping it from being unanimous is nut allergies, so more people have sweet potato, pumpkin, and apple. Pecan Pie is superior and is THE best pie.
