If you have to cheat to get through high school then you will eventually have to cheat to survive college, and you will get caught in college. Have fun with that. Easy way to ruin your career and reputation permanently. If you cheat you are basically telling the people who actually earn their grades that you have zero respect for them. At least own up to the fact that you are 100% selfish.

I just had a clique of 3 of my international graduate students sanctioned today for cheating on an online exam. I've got too many anyways, and I'm not a naturally sympathetic person, but I feel a little bad for them, presuming they get deported back to their home countries once they are kicked from the program.

You aren't wrong. Plenty of kids get out of trouble in college because of their families money not just cheating but actual crimes. I wonder why anyone would admit to cheating after doing it successfully.

I love cynical people who think every successful person is always an asshole. They are just a bundle of (kill)joy who desperately need therapy.

Lol I drew notes on my arms and legs for a "no-notes" economics class test in college and wore long sleeves and pants to cover. This was over 20 years ago tho, probably less cameras, nothing ever came of it

Your point? Is speeding okay because you didn't get caught speeding?

If you can't manage High school, college isn't gonna work out.

It only gets easier in college

I mean as long as the grades aren't curved relative to peers then you're only hurting yourself, I don't really care. Idk if you plan on doing higher education, but just know that right now is the easiest your classes and course-load will ever be.

Some colleges are easier than certain high schools, but otherwise your point stands. 90% of the time high school courses are easier than college courses.

i cheated in highschool every chance i got. It's been 20 years, still hasn't come back around. how much longer should i wait?

Until somebody cheats you.

You aren't just cheating, you're cheating somebody. Not only are you cheating your honest classmates, you are cheating future YOU. If you need to cheat in high school, you're not likely to do well when you do college. You won't do well on the exams. If by some miracle you do well enough in college, good luck with university. Sooner or later it'll catch up.

You won't remember much of what you pretend to have learned. Good luck with the SAT. On the bright side, think what your parents will save on college tuition.

Good luck when you're no longer a high school student and get caught cheating in college.

People who cheat and otherwise take shortcuts in life are like people who use crutches when they don't need them. You might be successful in the short term, but you are really gonna hurt yourself in the long term when the consequences are more severe.

I honestly don't think anybody does…

I used to do that too. Didn't feel bad about it either but then I found out I'm not that dense and a bit of learning turned out to be less stressful and less work than the cheating...

I cheated a few times in college. Required courses that were so outside my field of study that would have been very difficult for me to pass. No regrets from me. Failing a college course is really expensive. The financial implications of failing a class are very unfair. Example: I was a music student. I was forced to take a science class that required trigonometry. I only got to Algebra 1 in highschool. How could I learn Trig in 12 weeks? I cheated. No other option.

Yeah i agree, high school I was swamped with so much work that I genuinely wasn't sleeping some nights, paired with strict parents cheating was a way out. Chat GPT is a tool not a end all be all, more people need to realize that
