I guess I just don't really care what people do amongst themselves. They aren't the creators and no one is forcing me to engage in their fantasies. Not really my business. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter does it?

It really is weird, degenerative behaviour. Especially when these people take to harassing writers and other fans about accepting their weird headcanons.

I wouldnt take it so seriously. As long as nobody gets hurt by it, its fine. Its mostly fictional, dont forget that~

"Shipping culture" ie basing your Internet persona around what makes your juices flow - has always been toxic and degenerative. It's the sort of thing the weird girls in highschool would talk to eachother about. But now it's on the internet, and it's not just highschool girls discussing these sort of things. There's grown adults doing it too who full well know they're speaking like this to children, which raises my eyebrow.

I know, it's quite annoying I miss the days when people would go to the store and buy stuff in person.

Why not write your own characters? Vacuous?
by PictureSuccessful7251 day ago
Because it's more fun to put these characters in these particular situations.
