Food should be unseasoned the first time its tried. amirite?
by Anonymous6 months ago
The food item comes seasoned. That's what makes it good. That's what the tasters opinions is based off of. This is how I feel anyway.

Yeah, sure, you might think you like bread, but you actually just like the cooking. Eat this flour.

You think you like chicken but you just like breasts. Perv!

This is insane behavior
by Informal_Bedroom6 months ago
Your example is terrible because coffee isn't food and sugar isn't seasoning.

What's the point if you're not gonna be eating in unseasoned?
by Yundtalisa6 months ago
To see if you actually like the food item.

What if you like it seasoned? There are plenty of things I wouldn't want to eat unseasoned that I'd happily eat seasoned. Porridge is horrible without something added to it.
by Yundtalisa6 months ago
Why do you think it matters if they would hypothetically dislike it without seasoning?
by Far-Diamond6 months ago
By your logic you should eat it raw before eating it properly prepared, just to make sure you like it.
by Anonymous6 months ago
I said unseasoned not uncooked. I also never said to keep eating it unseasoned. I said the 1st time its tried. And I don't think anyone should eat food uncooked.

Same with adding cheese into everything.
by einar016 months ago
If you mean a finished dish should be tasted before you add something, then yes I agree 1000%. But if you mean the whole thing, no.
I guess you don't like tomatoes if they have to be cooked.
by Anonymous6 months ago
Nah you should have to eat the ingredients raw otherwise you don't like the food you just like cooking
by Anonymous6 months ago
Why is it a bad thing to like seasoned food? Like if I like coffee that has sugar but I don't like it without sugar... What's the problem?
by Anonymous6 months ago
Pretty sure they like the caffeine
by Anonymous6 months ago
Businesses would collapse. No one is buying unseasoned food. Under-seasoned maybe but unseasoned heck no!
by Beautiful_Trifle6 months ago
Not necessarily, some foods are generally always eaten with certain seasoning and most wouldn't dream of having them without that seasoning.

I get what you're saying OP So many people have this misconception that tasty food should be elaborate and generously seasoned. It absolutely can elevate a meal, but truly good food should be simple and contain minimal ingredients Authentic Naepolitan pizza and Fresh Pasta and Bread are some examples Something like a really fresh, rustic ciabatta/foccaccia should only need a bit of olive oil, minimal herbs, meat/veggies and a bit of cheese to be perfect. The bread is the star

That's what OP should have written. Too bad they wrote something idiotic instead.
by Anonymous6 months ago
So, to see if people like a food, we should serve it as bland and tasteless as possible?
