Really all you have to do is teach them the value of money. It's a tool that can work for you when you have lots of it. Don't just give it to them, but also don't let them live in squalor.

When rich people hit $100 million they should "prestige" and have their net worth reset to 0. It's ok. With all their contacts, business acumen, financial responsibility and work ethic they'll be back to being a millionaire in no time. (Only partially joking)
