I think the AF1 with the tightest hold on society is black Air Force If I see anyone wearing black Air Force 1s walking on the same side of the street, I will cross over to the other side with incoming traffic I wear black air forces if I want to B&E my own house I wear black airforces on the first day on the job to intimidate my manager

Yes. But I gave up this fight long time ago. Grown man in their 30s will wear ridiculous, bulky sneakers that look like from a teen magazine about skateboarding. And that's absolutely fine if it makes them happy.

The AF1 was made popular by NY street wear in the 80s and beyond. It's a shoe that's been as staple for years. I don't really like them myself but people love so whatever. And no celebrity made them cool they was popular. Celebrities rarely makes things popular if anything it's the opposite

I get the appeal, but I also agree ... I'm an AirMax90 guy myself. To me, AF1's are nostalgic like shell toes, chucks, sambas, etc

I actually really like mine. Pretty costly though, 90+ dollars for a pair. Isn't really worth it. I prefer my Converses honestly.

Converse originally started as basketball shoes but transitioned their focus into making their shoes skating shoes. A shoe with zero ankle support and a flat sole isn't a basketball shoe.
