This is a very very popular opinion. Massive budget cuts. Mismanagement of resources. I don't care what anyone says, having fire hydrants that won't dispense water and over 100 vehicles that are inoperable is insane.

This is a complete lie. Controlled burns happen all the time in California. I don't know about clear cutting, selective logging or water table maintenance, but I know for certain control burns are a regular thing in California, so if OP lied about this, it's highly likely OP lied about it all.
