Logically, I hear you. However, relationships aren't always about logic, fairness, or finding the most equitable split. I make more than my girlfriend and I'm happy to chip in more because, well, she's my girlfriend. If this was a business dealing, I would 100% agree with you.

Yes I agree, and you are a good partner for that. I think any good partner should be ok with sacrificing things for their loved one. I just disagree with people who claim that it's fair when it's really not.
