I think it only matters if it becomes relevant to their work, such as putting out a song about coming out. Otherwise...Meeeeeeeh is the proper attitude.

I've always found it quite weird how much straight people care about who is gay. I understand gay people appreciating the representation, so that positive attention is fine, but like, if you're not gay why do you care so much? It's just really odd.
