Do you also call a dark chocolate bar a cocoa bar?

Do you also call hot chocolate hot cocoa?

by kunzecaleigh 19 hours ago

Yes but just because it's fun to say.

Why would it taste like a milk chocolate bar? There's also such a thing as milk chocolate ice cream, which is an entirely separate flavor.

I think you're the first person who has ever spent time thinking about this non-issue.

What kind of chocolate have you been eating ?

It's not called milk chocolate ice cream though.

And we should call lemonade, lemon juice water instead because it's not made from lemonade, it's made from lemon juice.

by Anonymous 17 hours ago

Ridiculous and blatantly true!

Instead of chocolate ice cream or cocoa ice cream, it should be called flavored water, because ice cream is 55-65% water.

by Tillmanturner 16 hours ago

Nah, we shouldn't call it anything because over 99% of any volume is basically nothing.

by clementmarks 16 hours ago

This is just untrue as they just add chocolate to the mix to make it a chocolate flavour, not cocoa. There probably are some manufacturers that use cocoa but i believe most just use chocolate

by Intelligent_End 15 hours ago

Chocolate is pretty much just cocoa, sugar and milk. It's not a huge leap to call it chocolate flavoured when it's a colder and creamier version of everything that goes into chocolate

by Anonymous 15 hours ago

Youre right, it doesn't taste like choose it tastes like cocoa

by Loraine62 15 hours ago

What on earth?

by Anonymous 15 hours ago

Does strawberry ice cream taste like strawberries?

by Anonymous 14 hours ago

Your mistake is thinking milk chocolate is chocolate.

That episode of The Food that Built America about chocolate is captivating TV, no joke. Have you seen it? Hershey was basically like: PUT MILK IN IT

See...there's this thing where humans will just use a word collectively and it gains traction because it makes it easier to communicate. It's pretty common. Your knowledge of all things cacao is impressive but you're over thinking this. But perhaps you should pop into your local Baskin Robbins store and make your case. Or perhaps write Ben and Jerry's? Good luck!
