+50 Coat hooks are better than hangers, amirite?

by Krajciklaverne 14 hours ago

The point of a hanger is to keep the clothing in shape. If you put a suit or a nice dress on a hook then it will just droop and fall apart.

by Tough_Elephant2635 14 hours ago

Yeah I agree. Are most of your hangable clothes suits and nice dresses?

by Krajciklaverne 14 hours ago

No, but I like my t shirts not wrinkly

by Anonymous 14 hours ago

See I don't have the patience to do that, so most go in the dresser. Too wrinkly=undershirt for that day.

by Krajciklaverne 13 hours ago

I'd hate to know how messy your room/house is if putting away clothes for 2 minutes out lasts your patience

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

If you own nice clothes it makes a huge difference

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

Well yeah, I'm not saying I hang my suit coats on hooks, just most.

by Krajciklaverne 12 hours ago

Or sweaters, or pressed dress shirts, or dresses… etc etc etc

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

Well yeah, everything has its purpose, I wouldn't hang dress pants from a hook, but you could hang jeans from a hook.

Questions: how do you hang your personal coats? Are they all on hooks? What do you do if you have company over and all the hooks are taken?

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

Anything that I don't care about wrinkles I hang on a hook, which is most coats. I have 21 hooks in my main floor coat closet, so that's usually not an issue.

by Krajciklaverne 11 hours ago

may i ask how many hooks are in your ancillary coat closet?

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Yeah I'm baffled here. All the clothes I hang are "nice" and they have a shape I'm trying to preserve. Coast, dress shirts, slacks, etc…. If it can be folded it is and put away neatly.

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Alright, well then this doesn't apply to you.

by Krajciklaverne 11 hours ago

I guess I should ask, why hang anything not nice?

by Anonymous 10 hours ago

Anything that doesn't easily wrinkle but wouldn't typically go in a dresser, such as hoodies, winter jackets (ski/snowboard), windbreakers, jeans maybe, etc.

by Krajciklaverne 10 hours ago

That's valid, I think I personally would feel all that space is wasted. So I stack folded jeans, sweaters, etc… Enjoy the hooks man!

Try attacking ur home intruder with a hook vs a clothes hanger

by Ok-Pangolin-9505 9 hours ago

You can hang a hanger from a hook but you can't hook a hanger.

by Krajciklaverne 9 hours ago

You can if you're determined enough and don't mind wall damage 💖🎀

I see your coat hooks, and I'll raise you a chair in the bedroom.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

I'll match your chair and raise you a banquet table next to the dryer.

Dammit I fold (pun)

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

for coats? yes

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

Anything that stretches, I wouldn't risk hanging (hook or hanger). It will be stretched out of shape. You need to fold them instead.

Ive been making the argument for switching to hooks ever since we got our own house but my fiance won't let me. At least not in the coat closet which is where I want them.

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

Except they'll mess up your clothes if used for long periods exclusively
