-53 someone asking for your snap is pathetic, amirite?

by Anonymous 14 hours ago

What happened to asking people for their number?

by Anonymous 14 hours ago

fr when i was single, the process was app, then Snap, then mayyyyyyybe exchange phone numbers but realistically odds are very low that we exchange numbers or meet in person i can only imagine things have deteriorated further since i've been out of the mix

by Glum_Succotash 14 hours ago

You could have multiple numbers tho. At least one for business and at least one private.

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

Pretty sure messaging apps add a layer of security over just giving out your actual number to people

by WeakLifeguard1554 13 hours ago

This is giving "I just turned 18 and feel like snapchat is too childish, let's start sending by carrier pigeon!"

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

plenty if normal people use snap and other messengers i personably think snaps great for friends i honestly didn't think there was an age limit for a messenger app

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

What's letterboxd? Do we not have phone numbers anymore?

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

Letterboxd is a movie review platform

by RealCombination5840 12 hours ago

Wait so at the end of the night after chatting at a bar we're meant to be going "so hey it's been great, give me your rotten tomatoes id so we can do this again sometime?"

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

Letterboxd is apparently a social media for film lovers, AKA an app only a small amount of people are likely to have.

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Who tf is asking someone their Letterboxd when approaching them?

by Fine-Entrance 11 hours ago

People still use Pinterest????

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Not as a messaging app, as far as I know.

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Old people

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

How about, don't be weird and don't ask about any socials if it's irrelevant to the situation. The whole idea of "whats you internet persona" is ridiculous to ask when you meet people

by Anonymous 10 hours ago

I'd rather them just ask for my phone number. I won't lose my mind if someone asks me for some form of social media, but I don't have a lot of social media accounts. But it seems like everyone asks for your Snapchat or Instagram now.

by Historical-Bit 10 hours ago

Those other socials don't get me nudes why would I wanna use them?

by Weary-Restaurant 10 hours ago

I just make people come find me. Adult hide and seek.

by Foreign_Match_8569 9 hours ago

Or…hear me out…you could actually TALK to the person.

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

What is "your snap"? SnapChat info?

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

Fax me.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

What in the world is letterboxd?! And since when do people use Pinterest to communicate?! Snapchat is definitely better than most apps for communication.

by Chesleytillman 8 hours ago

I rather someone asks me for my snap and I know immediately what type of communication and approach I can expect and refuse, than to be asked for my number and then be asked for my snap or worse... Nudes.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

Why do you think Snapchat became famous at first place? Hahaha literally the "best" place to ask/send nudes!

by bria14 8 hours ago

I know that, so that is a perfect filter for me. I used to be on dating apps and all the guys who asked for snapchat and claimed to search for a proper relationship outed themselves with it. :3 I did find a guy who is serious about relationships and me, though. We're going strong since last February. Love him to bits. There's someone for everyone, even multiple people. :3

I may be out of the loop but what's the hate with Snapchat? It's like what I primarily talk to my friends on nearly daily, this is like the most nothing burger opinion ever, congrats on being unpopular

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

Now THIS is what I came here for. A true unpopular opinion!

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

I feel like every time I hear about Snapchat these days it's always a dude with a girlfriend trying to cheat

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

23M, when I go out to bars, I offer my Snapchat or phone number to people. It helps me to gauge their interest in me as a person. Phone is typically more personal, Snapchat is way more casual. I rarely use Snapchat but I have the issue of seeing notification bubbles and then needing to remedy them. So I often quickly respond. Similarly, on the rare chance someone offers me their contact info. It's usually snap or their number.

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Pinterest is for grandmas and I don't even know what letterbox is

by Safe_War 6 hours ago

I feel like this only makes sense for generations that didn't grow up with Snapchat as one of the biggest messaging apps. The biggest pro of Snapchat is that I can see your face while where talking, like FaceTime, but it allows me to answer when I'm not busy still.

by ValuableBudget9561 6 hours ago

What is letterboxd? And I've never heard anyone ask for someone's Pinterest lol

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

I really don't understand the hate that Snapchat gets. It's just another social media site. Where I live, it's very common and people use it and Instagram more than text messaging or facebook etc. but of course I totally respect that you don't understand why people do like it. Just preferences I guess

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

I'm a 36M and still enjoy the occasional Snap, lol

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

I find it kind of predatory if it's a grown man over 25 tbh

by Firm-Spring 5 hours ago

How tf is that predatory?

by Torey48 5 hours ago

Not to mention every man that I know of that's cheated has done it through Snapchat, big red flags all round

by Firm-Spring 4 hours ago

It's anonymous, you literally talk in photos that aren't stored or recorded. It's an extremely popular choice among predators, I've had so many man ask to talk on Snapchat and than go straight to sending unsolicited photos or asking for photos. I think it's strange to have Snapchat over a certain age

by Firm-Spring 4 hours ago

I could agree if it was like being used to talk to girls under 20 that they don't know, but otherwise, meh.
