+18 Express button microwaves are more annoying than just pressing the amount of time you want, amirite?

Dial microwave with a knob you turn that winds down and dings are the way.

Sir you have to move to 1995 to find the features you want.

I'm really glad mine didn't come with a tune, I didn't even think about the fact that might be a thing. Something to ask about when I have to replace.

Eh doesn't work in retail sadly

Anyplace that is using a microwave in a commercial kitchen doesn't really stand up does it.

Come on now, good old chief Mike needs a job, too. /S

Am I the only person that just pounds the +30sec button until I get to how long I want? (unless it's something super long)

by Anonymous 21 hours ago

Yeah I'd mostly be happy with a microwave that only had a +30s button. Other than the occasional time I want lower power to soften butter or something.

My microwave is great. It just has a knob that you turn and the set time goes up in 10 second intervals and I just press the knob down to start it. So much easier than punching in numbers

by Howepinkie 20 hours ago

Mine only does express if you press and then leave it for a few seconds. So you could press 3-5-start or you could just press 3 and then wait 2 seconds and it will start 3:00. It's a good design.

by Anonymous 20 hours ago

That's a great way to incorporate it.

by Anonymous 20 hours ago

That might be a popular opinion. I hate it too.

The only thing I use the microwave for is heating up day old coffee, which takes 60 seconds, or soup, which is 2.5 minutes popcorn I make in the skillet. That's about it, unless I need to melt butter or something in a baking recipe.

by Anonymous 19 hours ago

I used to hate it but I've gotten used to it and now it's really nice. Then again, all my cook times are on the minute or on the :30 so I either press a single button, or two buttons at most. I can see it being annoying if you often have to cook in :15 increments

TIL what an express button microwave is. Mine doesn't do that.

by Sorry_Smile 18 hours ago

The microwaves at the cafeteria at work only have express buttons. On most 3 =30 seconds, but on 1 microwave it only gives you 3 seconds lol.

by Anonymous 18 hours ago

What are you microwaving that you need that kind of precision?
