No, you are supposed to see 6 seconds into the future and be prepared to activate your blinker to avoid the sudden and unexpected danger of people, wild life, unseen obstructions, and everything else in existence. Else, plow directly into them.

If I have to make a tactical decision to avoid an accident there's no time for a blinker. My options are "abruptly change lanes to avoid another car" or "do not abruptly change lanes and hit another car". The time it takes to use a blinker before changing lanes may mean that completely avoidable accident becomes a completely unavoidable accident.

Ah yes I totally have the time to move my right hand to the blinker and hit it with 100% accuracy the right way while a deer is rushing out in front of me or someone blows past a red light at(or above) the speed limit. Evasive moves are a nessessity.

Not at all. First off, you should be scanning ahead 7-12 seconds. If you're not speeding, you'll have ample time to react. If you're just that unfortunate to have to evade something in such a manner, be a better driver.

You must not drive very often. 12 seconds at highway speeds, is an eternity. Recently an ambulance blew a tire in front of me. In order to avoid a tire flying into my windshield, I had to swerve into another free lane. Do you think I had 7-12 seconds to plan for that? I guess I should have been a better driver and planned for the tire to explode.

Last year I was driving on the highway at night, a construction worked made a mistake and moved a cone right in front of me with no warning. I swerved to avoid him, multiple cars behind me also had to swerve. Somehow nobody was injured, nobody hit anything. If your idea was implemented, multiple people would have been hit, at minimum there would of been a big bill for the insurance companies. Much more likely, people would of died. Also what do you do at roads that have steep curves? This is an unpopular opinion because its an extremely stupid policy

I was driving around 1 am on the highway. If i had i not swerved, i would have hit a person carrying gas to his car. This was at an exit ramp so there are 0 lights except for my head lights. Guess i should have ran into him.
