Why is transgression the only alternative to hypocrisy?

It really depends on transgression. I mean for a long time being gay was a transgressive thing to do and being out was even more so. Then you had the politicians passing anti gay legislation while being gay... hypocrisy to the max. In my opinion that is far worse than making the transgression.

First, don't be a hypocrite in front of muslims, they don't like that. Second, hypocrisy isn't cool. Being hard to place is cool. Being an LGBTQ, vegan, capitalist, Trump supporter who's religious and/or spiritual is cool.
