Um this is not logically sound. Therefore it is factually incorrect. If he did not make records in the first place his death would just be another statisic of violence. Secondly since he died his 'career' ended as he was no longer alive to advance it. So I put it to you that him making the music in the first place was the best thing he did for his career. Sometimes opinions can not be wrong, thus is not one of those times.

When you're an artist, you receive royalties. When you die, the money made goes to your estate. Just because he's not here to reap the benefits, his career didn't end with his death.

His career did end. He died. When dead, he could not advance his achievements any further you are confusing career with generating profit. He did not make any more money, whoever owned the rights after did.
