I hate FPS games. They're all the same. 3rd person is just better in every way. amirite?

You don't have "Zero peripheral"... Do you think you can only see in a straight line? A tube. What do you think that means?
by Select_Ring92312 days ago
"zero peripheral" just means the screen you're using is too big. A smaller screen requires less eyestrain to see the whole image at once ie not actually needing to use your own peripheral vision to see the screens peripherals

Having zero peripheral vision is not real to me So increase the FOV? Most of the time I run 100-120 FOV in first person games and I have loads of peripheral vision

You choose the most generic fps for your argument why?. What about Deus ex, Thief, Dishonored, Far cry, Doom, Halo, Bioshock ? Just to name a few, they have a lot of different gameplay
by Disastrous-Amoeba5312 days ago
That makes no sense lmao. You complain about zero peripheral vision but act like we can see ourselves in the third person on a daily basis. I wonder if real soldiers can see enemies like that too. It's one thing to have a preference but they aren't better in every way. Each pov does things better and worse and depends on the game. Honestly sounds like you haven't played many fps games or fp in general. You mentioned 4 popular fps games which are really similar and expect that to define the whole genre? Some are the same but it's how the mechanics of the game alter the core experience. Rainbow Six Siege, Cyberpunk, Skyrim, Resident evil 7-8, Stalker, metro, bioshock, outlast, doom, dying light? Plenty of good examples you left out and almost all of them don't play the same. Plus Apex is just warzone but for titanfall with not as fast paced combat. Could have used better examples.

Kingdom come isn't a FPS, it's just first person. FPS = First Person Shooter. Don't think you can shoot in that game :)

FPS = First Person Skalitz

I haven't played the games yet, so I honestly have no idea what that means lmao.

FPS= First Person Soldier

not gonna lie would be pretty cool in third person, if the combat UI was improved for it

play siege

Eh, I think first person lends itself better to gun games generally, especially on the scale that typicsl fps' are played. Otherwise first person is cool sometimes; like Mirrors Edge was a really fun game and the fp perspective felt unique and made for a memorable experience

Id bet money that youd change your mind if you played Neon White

First person is a perspective so your statement makes no sense If they're all the same for being first person, then all third person games are also the same
by Leffertz2 days ago
I feel the exact same way about 3rd person… minute I start one boom… immersion gone. I am no longer interested in the slightest.
by Vegetable_Wealth5332 days ago
I personally like playing third person, but ngl first person is alot more immersive. I remember when CP2077 announced and I was like 'why wouldnt they do it 3rd person like Witcher??' and after finishing CP2077, I felt alot more connected to V (the main character) than I did Geralt, a portion of that I think is because thru 1st person I went along 'AS' V.

This isn't an opinion, it's personal preference/bias

"I don't like X" isn't really an opinion, it's a statement

>a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. this is the definition of opinion

Increase your FOV. Are you just talking about first person games or actual FPS (First person shooters)? Because overall it depends on the type of game that it is. Because a lot of third person games are also very much " the same" as well.
