-34 Perfumes are useless and expensive, amirite?

It's not a hygiene product. Also, you not being allowed to get close enough to smell someone's perfume is not something the rest of us suffer from.

Wait..... So you all don't spray your Aqua Di Parma on your fresh open wounds because of the alcohol in it?

Wow… just wow.. either you get your perfumes from the dollar store or you don't have a good nose. You absolutely dont have to be close to someone to smell their perfume. A lot of people have a trail behind them that smells of their perfume. Also deodorant and antiperspirant can only last but so long, especially if you sweat easily. Whereas with perfume, some can last well into the next day.

Yeah, one day I was at my balcony and could tell some lady had walked under it. Very strong perfume smell even though there was nobody there anymore.

Say that to my $150 cologne that people always ask about

It's for me. I think it's a good sign I didn't apply too much if you have to get really close. I don't wanna be a nuisance to others

That's actually how one is supposed to wear perfume. If its odor can be detected by everyone in your immediate vicinity, you've overdone it quite a bit.

A little goes a long way. Just a hint is all that's needed.

I mean, some of us don't buy our perfumes from Walmart.

You've outed yourself there, Mr Stinky.

There are more affordable perfumes but they won't last long and not be able to leave a lasting impression. Expensive perfumes/colognes can be seen as more of a status symbol and will definitely be smelled without having to be close to a person, you can smell it when they walk by and it will linger.

Uhhh, it doesn't have to be expensive? I have 3 perfumes, one I got for like $4.97 from Walmart... One I got for 10$ at Bath and body works on sale and one I got from... Dollar tree. They don't have time be expensive and they smell amazing tbh. Also they arent hygiene products lmao and they work well with deodorant, they don't cover your bo if you're applying perfume without deodorant you're doing it wrong lmao

Also many scents are endocrine disrupters and some are cancer causing (and don't need to be labelled )

In my opinion, you haven't seen cologne or perfume done properly. I don't like them either, but I understand that if correctly applied, it smells fine. You are supposed to use so little and on your heat points that the smell mixes with your own smell to make something unique. Anyway, In a way I do agree with you. I'm in the simple, don't smell camp.

When i bath myself I like to use natural flavors. Nothing crazy, no old spice. Just regular exfoliating soap and the woodsy smelling shampoos. I use unscented undyed laundry detergents. Mainly because my back seems to break out bad with anything extra in the detergents (although the problem is still there unfortunatley, just not as bad.) I really prefer to get my smell good scent strictly from colognes.

I like the Canadian rule of no perfume to be used at workplace, and it's mostly workplace that I visited during my stay there, so i thoroughly enjoyed it, women keeping it professional and enables a workplace free from unwanted attention and odourless, if you don't take account of the lemon detergent or other smell from floor or toilet cleaning products, it's all good

If I can smell someone from more than an arm's length away, that's a problem. It doesn't matter if it's perfume, BO, cigarette smoke, or anything else. If you have a strong odor, you're a problem.
