Harold Ramis was, by every account I've read, a decent and caring human being. Henry Winkler is another. Lloyd Bridges, gracious and kind.

Anyone who assumes any good of any celebrity is misguided. That's... a bit of an overstatement. Celebrities are just people. They're complicated and messed up and make mistakes like we all do. To assume they're inherently monstrous with no good qualities is just kind of crazy. but hey offer nothing beyond entertainment, they are no moral or ethical guides. And what exactly are you offering to the world that's so great?
