I see it the whole opposite way. Society is absolutely become much more open about sex and the like. I just want some wholesome shows and music every once in a while. Doesnt mean no sex or anything just be a little chill.

It's your job to curate that sheltered world for yourself. The big problem is you guys are always trying to force everyone else to live in the sanitized, TV-G world where you feel most comfortable. I honestly think folks with this viewpoint need therapy. It is not normal for adults to be so scandalized by hearing a song in passing.

Brother dont paint with such a broad brush. I dont despise other type of music or media. Go ahead and watch what you want, listen to what you want. I consume "adult" media all the time. Cyberpunk for example is one of my favourite games. My problem is i feel like we've swinged so hard one way that its quite hard to find some more wholesome media. Not impossible, but much harder.

That's strictly untrue. In the entirety of human history it's never been easier to find whatever media you want. But the moralists among us throughout history have never been satisfied with simply not consuming media you don't want to consume.

I think media is far more sexual but in reality people are having less sex. Porn is on the rise and it's getting stronger by the hour. I think sex in media is fine but it's the promotion of it that may damage people. If a video game is M for mature or it's a adult cartoon that's fine. But if it's a radio smash hit like WAP even though it may not have cursing it's promoting. Even OF gets pushed and promoted.

I think saying people have less sex is entirely wrong. Casual sex and hookups have seemingly never been more common. Sure porn is on the rise but thay doesnt mean people masturbating is replacing sex. If anything I'd take that as people being more casual about sex leading to more hookups and One Night Stands.

This is a narrative, casual dating and sex is at a all time low. Don't be fooled by "hook up culture". Sex is down, men aren't approaching anymore. This notions that everyone back then was innocent angels is a lie. Sex wasn't so big media wise back then but literally porn scene like the milkman or pizza boy came from actual things that people did. Like Brothels was a big thing, in fact in the 1950s up until the 70s they would take men before they headed to war to a brothel so that they can be a "man".

I mean they have a kids team and on a weekend half the people there are parents and kids. Regardless of what you want to call it, 20 years ago you never would have heard graphic sexual songs in places like that. Even swear words would have been censored. I don't understand why that's relevant here. An opinion is not disinformation or propaganda. People have different values in society, and they should fight for the values they think are right. Sometimes that means there being less acceptance of something in society, or conservative ideology.
