(In my opinion) Level 50 or level 100, 2 mons will play the same if they equal each others levels, its only mons that haven't evolved that are effected. So yeah, your right, I guess capping it at level 50 is my way of summarising the idea. Again, I just want to finish a game with my pokemon reahing their maximum potential to fight the final battles. I don't see the point in being able to level past that. The champion of the region should defend their title with max level mons. Idk.

I'm all for a champion having their ace be level 100 and the whole team 96-99. It's also a lot cooler to have 100 be the cap over 50.

Or they don't derive any value from "effort" that's just mindlessly repeating easy tasks. It's more time consuming than actually challenging, or fun I don't feel like I've "earned" something in a game by being bored for 20 hours, I feel like I wasted time

I mean looking at pokemon how they changed exp distribution is already a big tell on how much "lazier" people have become. Back in the day you either had to switch trough your whole party or just take the full exp to 1 pokemon a time. You only got 1 exp share unless you trade glitched.

I really appreciated the mindless grinding at the later levels. This is of course my personal experience and I do enjoy grindy games. It would also have been perfectly fine with me if the max was 255 :)

All the dumb little kids wouldn't be able to overlevel their precious Charizard or whatever and would get smoked in the late game. You can't give up methods to handhold the little children.
