I got your point. It's a good point but I chose to ignore it and rant about the bear because I am curious what kind of reaction it would get. I also think you listed a lot of objectively good products and the bear stood out to me as an outlier. I swear that show tricks people into thinking they're watching something fancy and profound when in reality it seriously fails to evolve past the initial premise.

Not really an "if only". People might not always say it or accept it, but people having preferences when it comes to a show is not an unpopular opinion.

My point is more highlighting the people accepting it or not in this case and not just "people have preferences" The amount of times for example people who found Adolecence boring be told off they're wrong is always. "You just didnt understand it" "Did you watch with eyes closed" etc etc.

Still doesn't make it unpopular. People who really like the show will undoubtedly say that as a means to defend the show and why they like it. People are weird, that's kind of how it is.

That doesn't prove your point, it's not unpopular in of itself for a show to be good and not be liked. Hell, people reject others for liking shows they don't like.

That's the thing I'm pointing out. It's the rejection of the opinion. Like there's a difference between people having preferences and people accepting such preference. If people accept it then you wouldn't even be rejecting their opinions in the first place. Discussion about your different taste is the next step but I'm trying to highlight that that's not the common case because people shut you down.

Yeah I get what you're trying to point out, that's still not an unpopular opinion. Yes it's a pain in the ass when people straight up shut you down. People should be more willing to discuss about differences in tastes and preferences.

Agree to disagree then 👌 because in my eye if it's an actual popular opinion that ie a good show can be disliked you'd get majority of people actually discussing with people with different experience on it instead of just outright shutting them down.

You can like what you want to like, there are plenty of "good" shows that I just don't personally enjoy...it's when you swing in the opposite way and act like the popular show you don't like is absolute trash when people start arguing. Being able to see the quality, understand how people like a show and admit that it is good...but not for you is an adult response to not enjoying something.
