I don't think the human race would become fully 100% extinct, I do think human civilization would collapse and we'd reverse back into a more primitive and brutal "society" that we would probably not fully recover from. The only things that I can think of that would guarantee 100% total annihilation would be stuff like a gamma ray burst, the Sun expanding into a red giant several billion years from now, or an advanced hostile alien civilization destroying us. This is assuming we don't ever become a multiplanetary or interstellar species within the next several thousand or several tens of thousands of years.

This is not an unpopular opinion, this is anti-science nonsense. The most pressing threat to the survival of the human race is climate change. Nothing else is set to wipe us out before that, bar a surprise visit from a determined asteroid. Please go and read reporting by actual climate scientists and don't say this out loud to anyone you know.
