+50 I don't want food workers throwing in extras to my order to be nice. If I wanted more food I would've ordered more food. amirite?

"Oh sweet. Extra nuggets. I can save these for later" said the person who isn't a deeply unhappy person.

by casperkatarina 1 week ago

I suppose it depends on how much extra you get, but if you get one extra nugget, are you really going to go through the effort of saving that single nugget? I don't imagine it's very common to get a snack's worth of extra food. I think most people would just eat it with the rest or throw it out if they're adamant about eating exactly what they ordered.

by Ok-Theme-8909 1 week ago

I dislike most leftovers as is, but leftover fried food is a never go for me.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Actually, this makes sense if you aren't going to eat it anyway. I hate wasting food, and I know I don't have a huge appetite, and I'm usually satisfied with what ordered. I could have two of something sure, but I wanted one. hook-ups are wasted on me. Unless it's caviar.

This is probably the most unpopular of opinions I've ever seen. Free food is free food, if I'm full I'd just pack it away and eat it later, lol.

by Due_Break_1666 1 week ago

Yep, passes the unpopular opinion test.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'm also like this. I can't eat so much and then I have to throw it away. Because old fast food isn't tasty at all and grosses me out

by reubenrath 1 week ago

How often are you getting free stuff that you care about it this much? I've had it happen once or twice maybe.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Happens occasionally, happened yesterday in fact. But I definitely see people talk about it daily often and everyone hails the giver of the nuggets as some kind of peoples hero, and I just don't agree.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

With how widespread food poverty is this is a diabolical opinion. Also, just the general kindness side of it is great. Why not make someone's day with 4 extra nuggets?

by Signal_League_1530 1 week ago

But OP is not suffering from food poverty. The business could keep those extras and at the end of the day give them to a shelter or something. Or have a Take a Nugget, Save a Nugget program like places did with pennies in the U.S. a few decades back. (partially joking, but really they could just say, "would you like 2 extra nuggets for free?" so all efforts would be appreciated without food waste.

Throw it out without thinking too hard? What genuine problem does it cause? I literally leave a bite or two left of my entree almost every time because I would be more full than I wanted. I throw anything I was given away at that point, no matter if it was extra or I actually paid for it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't like throwing away meat since something did have to die to make it, but I also won't eat leftover McDonald's so giving me extras here is causing a problem that shouldn't exist.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You'd love my company, I need someone to soak up all the extra nuggets!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Honestly Yee I would take all your extra nuggets

by AntPlastic9136 1 week ago

There's not much meat at McDonald's. TVP maybe. 🤔

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Same thing at Chick fil a with the sauces

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's called leftovers. Nobody forcing you to throw it down the gullet. Other things you can do if you got extra is give it to friends/family.

by Reynoldsbridget 1 week ago

Can't be mad at leftovers imo. You don't need to eat till you're stuffed. Eat till you're satiated. No matter how little is leftover, once I'm full, I'm full. I'll store that leftover amount in the fridge. I'll find a way to use it up somehow. This is also key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Too much of anything is bad just as too little of anything is.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

damn, maybe it's not all about you. maybe you can just appreciate a gesture, even if it's not perfectly tailored to your preferences.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You remind me of the lady I over heard at Five Guys, complaining to her friend that they gave her too many fries…..some of us are on a budget and appreciate the extras.

Kindness can be quite annoying…

by pfefferzaria 1 week ago

Complaining about free food is indeed an unpopular opinion I feel

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Just say thank you and don't eat it if you don't want to. If you get annoyed at people doing nice things for you, even if you don't want it, you're the problem.

by Bayerpeter 1 week ago

Agree. Gimme exactly what I ordered.

"Hooking up orders"đź’€

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You know you don't have to eat the extra food right

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I understand, my wife consistently gets bacon bits on her orders of caesar salads everywhere we go. No mention of bacon bits on the menus as well as we didn't ask them to put it on the salad. Yet the salad has bacon bits on it. She is Jewish…

by Anonymous 1 week ago

What if they put in 10 when you wanted 9?

by Breanna93 1 week ago

If you've never struggled to have enough to eat then go brag elsewhere. Give your "extra" food to the person you next come across who needs it. If you can't tell who needs it... I don't know what to say.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

At a restaurant: "Would you like a box for that?" "NO! ITS TOO MUCH!"

by Anonymous 1 week ago

If they give you too much food, save some for later. That's literally a free snack/meal you're getting out of it, at that point you literally have no right to complain

by Anonymous 1 week ago

not even an unpopular opinion, just plain wrong

by Consistent-Plate-705 1 week ago

You may have found the least popular opinion ever. Just save it and heat it up later.

by FlakyAd1141 1 week ago

Never going to save and reheat McDonald's.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Your loss. It tastes great a few hours later in the toaster oven.

by FlakyAd1141 1 week ago

My bad, did you order popular opinions?
