+45 Society blames people for messed up food orders way too much, amirite?

I feel like most people blame the business or the employees, but if people are actually blaming the customer then I agree

I dont doubt some mad-about-their-job fast food employees blame the customers for that too lol. Its always the customers' fault according to some people

But then there's also just as much "the customers always right" entitlement. So I think it balances out.

People love having an opinion, it doesn't matter if it's about a pretend thing or something they have absolutely zero context or information about. It's wild when people automatically side with an instigator though.

A lot of times it's just bad from start to finish. My first job was at a Wendy's, many years ago. I had never eaten their food, and when orders come back, they are abbreviated to the shortest imagineable form of the sales jargon for their food. With two hours of video "training", they threw me on the line to make sandwiches during a rush: Nobody got their food correct during that shift, I can guarantee you that.

Everyone likes to have an opinion but no one likes to take accountability for when they actually mess up.

I mean, if you take home an order that was wrong, it absolutely, 100% is your fault for not checking. Everyone makes mistakes, up to and including the under paid and overworked part time fast food employees making and bagging your food. Just open the goddamn bag and take eight seconds to check before you drive away.

what about a packaged food that would be meant for someone else? or, let's say, a breaded meat that was supposed to be chicken but it's actually pork or fish? how can you check that?

I have no sympathy for people who use Door dash or a similar service. If you want your food order to be accurate, you need to get off your ass and actually put a little effort into making sure that happens. If you utilize delivery people, you shouldn't care so much about order accuracy. And as far as the restaurant giving you a different protein altogether? Those things are vastly different, even when breaded. Extremely easy to check.

So because I ordered something for delivery, it's MY fault the order is wrong (despite the store being sent the exact thing I ordered) and I shouldn't care about my order being accurate BECAUSE I opted for delivery? So when I ordered through Domino's website a few days ago and got the wrong order (like it didn't even have my address, they literally gave me someone else's order), according to you, it's okay that it was wrong because I assumed that risk from ordering delivery? Get over yourself

Oh no! We disagree on one insignificant detail of life! How will we ever continue to live our lives knowing we disagree on this?!? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to completely arrest your life with this issue. I hope you can find the strength within yourself to preserve.
