Film is more than story 🤷‍♂️. Sorry your patience/attention is ruined

Its a pretty good movie. Al Pacino's character is very human and he does a good job. The end. Brando is odd as per usual.

Godfather is one of my favorite movies. Martin Scorsese is probably my favorite director, even if I don't LOVE everything he has ever done. His batting average is way higher than anyone else's, with Quentin Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson right behind him. However, most pop culture is relative. For me, I don't think Citizen Kane deserves the praise it gets. It's good and Orson Welles was certainly talented, but one of the greatest of all time? No.

I know. It's a separate point

I see your point, and I appreciate the clarification about the ‘insists upon itself' reference. My intention wasn't to make an empty criticism but rather to express a personal perspective on how certain films feel to me. I get that the phrase has become a bit of a meme, but I still feel that some films, including The Godfather, can come across as self-important in a way that doesn't resonate with me personally. But I respect that others see it differently.

Spot on critique. Unfortunately the Godfather spawned a whole genre of lazy mobster- cliche knockoff movies and shows. Scorsese's movies have all been derivative for decades.

These other critiques are from morons that think they're smart. This is my why my critiques are smarter than their critiques.

And that is a REALLY unpopular opinion. That movie is a masterpiece, start to end, from acting, to story telling and everything in between. Stick to the avengers bro ;)
